Making Ink From Plants

SVR and Human Rights Commission of the Federal District (CDHDF)

On June 23 we had the official presentation of remote interpreting services (VRI) in the city of Mexico, supporting this service to Federal District Human Rights.

Below are some excerpts of note:

"The Human Rights Commission of the Federal District (CDHDF) will be the first Latin American institution to offer the Simultaneous Interpretation Service Distance for Persons with Disabilities hearing, which is available from 14 June in the Agency's headquarters Monday to Saturday 9:00 to 21:00 hours.

The video relay service was contracted by the Commission with the company VRI Video Remote Interpreting (for its acronym in English), based in Tijuana, Baja California.

The capital Ombudsman stressed that this action by the CDHDF is driven by its programs for Equality and Non-Discrimination (PID) and Care for Persons with Disabilities (PAPD), aware that people with disabilities face numerous barriers physical, social or cultural factors that prevent them from exercising their rights fully and effectively.
