In compliance with the Municipal Development Plan, the municipal government of President Jorge Ramos installed today the Sub-Sector COPLADEM Deaf Community, the first space participation of persons with disabilities.
The responsibility between society and government on the creation, approval and implementation of government programs designed to generate higher returns for the hearing impaired, has become a reality, said the general coordinator of the Committee of Planning and Municipal Development (COPLADEM), Odile Moreno Grijalva.
"We are aware that the work and the persistence of each of you allowing us to reach today the installation of this subcommittee, where their participation is crucial to determine how far we've come in implementing the Municipal Development Plan in respect of vulnerable groups, "he said.
The city official acknowledged that the initiative, promoted by Councilwoman Olga Macias Abaroa and approved on July 27 by unanimous consent of the council, not just the result of the effort and commitment makers, their technical secretaries, municipal officials and the company itself.
"This is the essence of COPLADEM, progress through joint efforts with different sectors of society. This is undoubtedly the right forum to influence the present and future of our city, which will work to ensure that our city needs, "he added.
For its part, the president of the Commission on Human Rights, Vulnerable Groups and Indigenous Affairs council, Councillor Olga Macias Abaroa community today reported that Tijuana living a historic day, because today marks a dream.
"They have many projects for work, today we installed this first on the subcommittee in the almost three years were struggling, and now finally have their own space of expression," he said.
"We are proud to finally, and just three months to complete the administration, giving them the opportunity to have their own space. They have many projects that will work and a personal commitment by which they will continue struggle, "he added.
Abaroa Macias The mayor said that with the installation of this subcommittee, the first of its kind in the country, not only are creating conditions for the participation of persons with disabilities, but the municipal government is opening space for the establishment of new programs to meet their own needs.
"This gives rise to the works and projects that the government will carry out during his term in office. And this is how that the deaf community will have the opportunity to participate in the creation, approval and implementation of new government programs, "he said.
During the ceremony, held at the Hall of Presidents DIF La Mesa, was attended by the Municipal DIF director, Luis Garcia Lopez and representatives of the local deaf community.
